Staircases
The type, size and design of your staircase will be influenced by Building Regulations and the “look” that you desire
Handrail and kick plate
A basic hand and knee rail is a minimum requirement often accompanied by a kick plate
Floors used by members of the public require a “filled in” rail of simple mesh handrail mesh, or a more attractive glazed infill
Pallet gates
Pallet gates allow heavy and bulky items to be lifted onto the floor by Fork Lift Truck. Up and over gates are becoming more common to meet Health and safety concerns There is a constant barrier between the operator and the edge of the floor. The gate rotates over the load to allow access to either side of the load
Fire Protection
Larger floors or floors in constant use will require fire protection. Exposed steelwork is cased in by fire retardant materials – column casings, fascia and suspended ceiling tiles.
Lighting
A mezzanine floor will normally require lighting underneath. Total Mezzanine Floors can organise this for you if required, though most customer use their own electricians, often enhancing fire detection alarms at the same time
Offices
Should your project include offices on or under your floor, Total Mezzanine Floors will be happy to carry this work out during or after the building of the floor.
Floor Coverings
An office or a canteen area may require a more suitable floor covering. This is all part of the service from Total Mezzanine Floors
Shelving

Partitioning
