Overview
Case Study – Hoshizaki manufacture Ice Making Machines. Their steady growth has meant that they were beginning to outgrow their building. However, their factory had plenty of headroom which was not being used.
Due to this lack of space, the production stores were located in the main finished goods warehouse which used valuable warehousing space and was very in- efficient
The solution
A mezzanine floor was built over an area which housed the spare parts store and the break-out, café area.
Under the mezzanine floor was used for a new production store. Once the mezzanine floor was built Total Mezzanine Floors supplied the shelving and other storage equipment to house the 14,000 line items required for production
On top of the floor, the spare parts department was re-located along with a new break-out café area and offices accommodating Team leaders, a meeting room and the European IT Server. Total Mezzanine Floors built the offices and provided the floor coverings as part of the Total package.
The production stores has been made secure by partitioning the perimeter of the store allowing only one means of access into the store.
Ready to start.
The installation continues.
